Technologist and entrepreneur.
I like taking complex systems apart, understanding how they work and building new ones.
I came to the United States from Russia in 1991, when I was nine, and grew up in Atlanta. I've been working since I was 11. I grew up around business people, helped my father with his three businesses and bought and resold things on eBay.
After graduating from Georgia Tech, I started Hardware Nation in 2006, at 24, and built it from the ground up: sales, engineering, business relationships and the systems behind the company. Later I spent more than two years building Nanites AI, a system of AI agents for troubleshooting networks. AI is what I care most about building now.
Work
Hardware Nation
Networking hardware, design, integration and deployment for more than 1,000 customers, from startups to global enterprises, universities and government agencies.
We began working with Edgecore in 2016. My deployment experience spans Arista, HPE (including Juniper), NVIDIA switches running Cumulus Linux and Edgecore switches running SONiC, including SONiC in enterprise production networks. I work directly with engineering teams and manufacturers in Taiwan.
Today I apply AI to the company's commerce, research and operations.
Nanites AI
A system of AI agents that troubleshoot network incidents like an experienced network engineer: they gather evidence across devices and tools, find the root cause and propose a fix, with a human in the loop for every change.
I spent more than two years building it, largely self-funded: the software and systems engineering, network integration, testing and evaluation, with contributions from a team.
- Named an emerging Agentic NetOps vendor in Gartner research
- Covered by InformationWeek
- Included in Cisco DevNet's discussion of commercial AI agents for networking
- One of 12 finalists, from more than 400 applicants, in the 2025 T Challenge run by T-Mobile US and Deutsche Telekom
Speaking
I've presented Nanites at Deutsche Telekom's headquarters in Bonn, at CableLabs events and at Network X Americas. I also take part in OCP, ONUG and NANOG.
Writing
I write about open networking and AI for networks.
